Day 3 of the Be a Better Parent Challenge is: No more "good job!"
You know those words... they are probably the most common words you use to reward your kids with compliments. Today, I'll use synonyms for these words and congratulate and praise my children in different words that aren't always used. I notice that already, I have used "I'm proud of you" frequently.
As far as yesterday's challenge... yeah, I didn't do so well on that one. But, in my defense it was 2:30am when I snapped. I couldn't believe that they were still awake! You guys can only image how big my eyes got when I found out that they were in their room playing rather than sleeping. I'm surprised I didn't have steam coming out of my ears!
